'The Ties That Bind' theme ties into my studio practice. I approach my work asking the question how are we all similar rather than what separates us. I am a believer that we are all uniquely our own person but when it comes to relationship and communication we all want to be understood, listened to, and valued. My work focuses on communication between the viewer and figure in the hope that the viewer will slow down, look, and observe the individuals and world around them.
